Why would a man wear a chastity device?

The average man would immediately reject the notion of wearing such a device, as it represents both a loss of something dearly important, as well as unnecessary and uncomfortable. But after the initial reaction, some men become curious. Men who think they may have a sexual-related problem and/or a submissive nature sometimes will look at these as something of a solution, or something exciting that could add to their relationship. Once a man realizes that wearing the device is totally voluntary, curiosity could lead to giving it a try.

Based on feedback from our customers, the reasons include:

  • Needed to help restore trust in a relationship with your wife or life partner after a loss of self-control.
  • Self-protection to resist undesired impulses for sexual encounters.
  • Control of compulsive masturbation problems.
  • To spice up your marriage by surrendering control of your orgasms to your partner.

The feelings and sensations that a man may derive from wearing such a device include:

  • Maintained focus  (fewer sexual distractions)
  • Self-confidence (no need to be concerned about resisting temptation)
  • A sense of constant, low-level arousal when you think about your wife or partner holding the key
  • Fewer arousing dreams during sleep (once you get used to it)
  • Loss or reduction of arrogance when you've given the key to someone you love
  • Greater self-discipline and temperament
  • Greater ability to trust yourself and others

The above is not an all-inclusive list, and certainly not every man will experience all of these feelings and sensations.

If you would like to comment on the above, please write to us at support@lockeduplove.com.

Why would a woman want her man to wear a chastity device?

Not all women take to the idea of having her man locked up in a chastity device, at least not initially. But based on feedback from our customers, the reasons include:

  • To help restore trust in a relationship when there is suspicion or evidence of extra-marital affairs.
  • Similarly, women who have been hurt by a former partner's infidelity may want her man to wear one for her own sense of security.
  • Some women find it very erotic to be able to control their man's orgasm.
  • A man will try harder to please his woman if there is a chance she will deny him access to the key; consequently he's more attentive and helpful around the home.
  • As long as he is wearing it, you will never again have to worry about him leaving the toilet seat up.

Generally, when the wife is holding the key and knows that he is locked, she will experience:

  • a greater sense of security and trust with your man
  • a sense of control that some women find very erotic
  • more attention and affection, and fore-play during sex
  • some women find that they want to dress and behave more sexily to further stimulate their man (teasing and denial), which in-turn stimulates her own sex drive.

The above is not an all-inclusive list, and certainly not every woman will experience all of these feelings and sensations.

If you would like to comment on the above, please write to us at support@lockeduplove.com.

Are the devices visible under clothing?

Generally, the devices are very discrete. Loose-fiiting pants are recommended, and darker colored pants tend to be even better. Of all of the devices, the CB-6000 and CB-3000 are the most discrete for most men.

Is there a warranty on the products?

The CB-6000, CB-3000, CB-2000 and Curve products are warranted by A.L. Enterprises for one year from date of purchase, and they will replace any defective component.

Birdlocked and Bon-4 devices are warranted for 90 days from purchase for manufacturing defects.

Security inserts will be replaced within 30 days of purchase in case of defect or dissatisfaction.

Our return policy is 50% refund for opened product within 30 days, exclusive of shipping. We also give a total of 75% purchase credit for exchange for another model.

LockedUpLove.Net work as your agent to ensure that your needs are addressed to promptly.

Who manufactures the products?

We are authorized distributors of A.L. Enterprises products, based in Price, UT. These products are of very high quality, and are protected by international patents. There are similar products on the market made in China that are inexpensive, cheaply made, and not covered by a manufacturer's warranty. These can be found frequently on eBay and similar sites at very low prices, though the eBay sellers of these products often get banned by the company's attorneys for patent infringement. It's definitely a "buyer beware" situation.

Note: since the company re-engineered the CB-3000 and Curve to use the same ring design, all current models are actually manufactured in Taiwan. The tag attached to the zipper will indicate such. Do not be alarmed, as the rigid quality standards of these products have been strictly enforced.

Birdlocked devices are manufactured in Switzerland by the Birdlocked company. We are authorized distributors of them as well.

Bon-4 is manufactured in Europe, but procured through an authorized re-seller in Los Angeles.

Security inserts and points are manufactured by a local supplier in Mesa, AZ.

What is a counterfeit, and why should I avoid them?

Since the inception of the products, there have been cheaply made replicas of the A.L. Enterprises products, mostly (if not all) from China. Though we don't see many CB-2000 fakes these days, the CB-3000, Curve, and recently even the CB-6000 units have been shamelessly copied. Aside from the illegalities of these copies, primarily for patent infringement in the USA, there are two major problems: they break easily, and they come with no manufacturer warranty.

Authorized distributors of the A.L. Enterprises products are contractually bound to sell the devices at full retail price, unless they have announced the discontinuance of the item (such as the CB-2000 in December 2008, and recently the hinged ring models of the Curve and CB-3000). If you see one of the items for sale at less than our prices, it is very likely a counterfeit. Some other ways to tell:

  • The authentic products do not come in velvet bags (CB-2000 and CB-3000).
  • The authentic CB-3000 and Curve do not come in a hinged box that has form-fit spaces for all of the parts.
  • The "Cbelt-3000" is a counterfeit copy of a CB-3000.
  • The CB-4000 is a counterfeit copy of the Curve.
  • The current version of the CB-3000 is only available in clear. (Previous hinged-ring versions of the CB-3000 and Curve included black and neon red versions that was discontinued in the summer of 2007.) Any other color is a fake.
  • The Curve is only available in clear. Any other color is a fake.
  • There are known to be Chinese made replicas of the CB-6000 clear on the market. We would advise you to contact the seller to ask for the place of origin, especially if they are discounted.
  • Earlier versions of the CB-6000 fakes had round lock-pins, instead of the oval shaped pins currently used.

Not everyone that is selling these products knows about this problem, and when they are reported are mostly compliant with laws and stop the sale. But there are some unscrupulous dealers that continue to try to market the fakes, and some have ultimately been prosecuted for doing so.

Birdlocked devices have reportedly been copied, but we have not encountered a counterfeit model to date.

Buy with confidence! If you have any concerns about the authenticity of the products from us or any other dealer, please contact A.L. Enterprises at 1-800-331-8005 (within the USA), or 1-435-637-8331 from anywhere else in the world. Their office hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, MST, Monday-Friday.

Why not buy direct from the manufacturer?

A.L. Enterprises does do direct retail business through their website, www.cb-2000.com. While they will be happy to take and fulfill your order, their business is primarily wholesaling, and marketing through their authorized resellers (such as us!). Other advantages that we offer versus buying direct from them include:

  • We offer free or discounted shipping, and will ship on Saturdays, to save you money and time.
  • We will accept returns (with some limitations).
  • We offer products from other manufacturers within the same package.
  • We offer much greater personal service, and can respond quickly to questions and concerns.
  • We can provide replacement parts at our cost beyond the one year warranty period.

How do I know which model is best for me?

The first consideration is the size of your flaccid penis. The CB-3000 and CB-6000 has the same diameter, though will accommodate about five inches in length. If either dimension are greater than that, the Curve would be the better choice.

Another consideration is appearance. While all models are pretty discrete under loose-fitting clothing, on most men the CB-6000 and CB-6000-S will be the one least likely to be detected. The CB-3000 is a very similar shape, and is also very difficult to detect. The Curve does protrude out further than other models, but if you are large enough to wear this model, chances are that the bulge in your trousers has been noticed before. :-)

Comfort is another consideration, though they are all about the same once the right fit is found. Generally, people that have bought and used the CB-6000 have commented more about the comfort than the other models. Opinions vary though.

Birdlocked and Bon-4 have relatively thick rings. Though flexible, they may be somewhat difficult to get into if you have limited slack in your scrotum.

See also the page on this site that discusses the differences in the models.

What are "points of intrigue"?

The Points of Intrigue were an attachment available for the earlier version of the CB-2000, CB-3000 and Curve to help prevent escape and further inhibit arousal. They came as a set of three with different length points that will push into the skin causing irritation when arousal begins. To try to remove the penis while they are attached could cause piercing, scratching, or even cuts on the penis, but are not painful to wear under normal circumstances when the appropriate size is chosen.

There are no official "points of inrigue" for the current A.L. Enterprises products. However, we do offer several options of products that serve the same purpose:

  • Security points, which are functionally similar to the points of intrigue. They can be sanded to be shortened and/or blunted for comfort. They are compatible with all current models.
  • Security insert, which fits inside the cage. Short rubbery pins protrude from the insert to trap the penis, much like a chinese finger trap. This is suitable for men of lesser flaccid girth. They are designed to work with the CB-6000, CB-6000-S and CB-3000.
  • Flex points, introduced July 2011, which is something of a hybrid between the above two items. It replaces the front plate, as does the security points, but has rubber fingers that extend into the cage. They too can be shortened and/or blunted for comfort. It too works like a chinese finger trap in that they offer resistance to withdrawing the penis without sacrificing any of the tube diameter. They are compatible with all current models.

How does the CB-6000 compare to the other models?

The main difference between the CB-6000 and CB-3000 is that the CB-3000 is about 1/2" shorter in the cage, and that the weld seam is on the side. This would tend to make the CB-3000 less resistant to splitting as has been reported on a number of forums.

Early models of the CB-6000 had a relatively high incidence of the cage cracking or splitting, but has gotten much better as the product has matured. The manufacturer has replaced them without question whenever reported.

The Curve is wider and longer than both models, though can be less obvious under clothes than the other models.

How long does it take to get used to wearing one?

It will vary from man to man, of course. Initially it will feel awkward, but after a while once the right fit is found - typically a few hours to a few days - it will come to feel more natural, and you will become less and less aware of it as time goes on. You may even find it to be pleasant to wear most of the time, as it would be a constant reminder of your partner, or at least of your own sexuality.

Many men experience painful nocturnal erections during the early days of wear. This does tend to pass with time (1-2 weeks, typically) as the mind retrains itself to not have erections during sleep.

What should I do if I experience an erection in my sleep?

This is pretty common during the first few weeks of wear. Unconsciously it can be somewhat stimulating, which could provoke an erection that would be uncomfortable, even somewhat painful while locked up. If you wake up in that condition, it's best to remove the device for the reminder of the night, and try it again the next night. Eventually, your mind will be trained not to become aroused during sleep, and you will be able to sleep normally.

How long is it safe to wear a CB?

Some men can wear these devices for weeks, even months at a time! But always practice safety and err on the side of caution. If it becomes uncomfortable to wear, remove it for a day or two. If you plan to wear for longer than 10 days, you should consider some means to drain the prostate to keep it healthy. In lieu of ejaculation, there is a process called "milking" which involves massaging the prostate to allow the seminal fluids to drain through the penis - effectively pre-ejaculatory fluids - that if left alone too long could develop bacteria and cause health issues.

You may also have some hygiene issues, e.g. odor after a few days of wear. Cleanliness is essential, though can be difficult. Wash with soap and water, flush with a shower as best you can. It would be advisable to remove the device every few days for a thorough cleaning before reapplying.

How do I find the right fit?

Typically this is done by trial and error. You should first find the the smallest ring that you can fit into, then go up one size. If the ring is too small, the skin of the scrotum will become pinched and irritated usually within a few hours. If it is too loose, it will spin rather freely, which could result in some uncomfortable twisting, at least on some models. As for spacing, as little as 1/8" can make a huge difference. Make it tight initially, but watch your testicles closely for signs of discoloration or coldness. If found, take it off immediately and next try a slightly larger spacer. You must be careful not to use too large of a spacer, otherwise the testicles may pull themselves through, which is about as painful as a groin kick! Ultimately, you will find the right combination of rings and spacers that will allow you to wear the device comfortably for several days at a time, or longer.

If you get a hot pinching or burning sensation under your balls, it is typically caused by the skin folding, and can be relived by stretching the skin out to eliminate the fold, using both hands. This might mean that the ring is too small, but not necessarily.

Some men have a high/tight ball sac. If this is the case it may take a little longer to get a comfortable exact fit. For the best results the ball sac should hang slightly below the ring and the cage portion. You may find it necessary to wear a 1” leather strap with snaps at the top of the ball sac off and on for a while until it stretches slightly. Most adult stores carry this product. Another option is an item called "the parachute", which could accelereate the stretching to get you to that comfortable fit sooner. You can find the parachute on the "Related Products" tab on this site.

Can I stand up to urinate while the device is attached?

Technically it is possible, though not advisable. You must have your urator slot lines up EXACTLY right, and your penis must fill the tube to the end. If not, you are likely to spray all over the place. It's best to sit while peeing, for all concerned. Your wife (if you are married) will love you even more for doing so. :-)

How best to be a KeyHolder?

It's not an easy question to answer, as there are many approaches to this, depending on the nature of the relationship. However, a good starter reference for this is "Male Chastity - a guide for keyholders" by Lucy Fairbourne, a book available through this website and other outlets.

What are the plastic locks for?

The plastic locks can be used in place of the normal metal lock if the wearer will ever have to pass through a metal detector. They are individually serialize to keep the wearer from replacing the lock with another one; the keyholder would know that the plastic lock had been replaced. These can also be used for relatively easy removal if the wearer had to remove the device, for example if wearing it had become painful. Once removed, they cannot be reused.

We also offer a reusable plastic lock, which will not set off metal detectors, and also does not make clicking or knocking sounds when the lock moves while walking.

Is it posible to get a spare key when ordering a CB?

All models come with two keys, except for the designer models of the CB-6000 (which come with only one). If desired, comparable locks can be obtained from Walmart or local hardware stores with multiple keys for only a few dollars.

How is the product shipped? Are there any external markings?

Your order will be shipped in a plain brown box. The return address will either be our PO Box in Phoenix, or may come from A.L. Enterprises in Price, Utah. There will be no external indication of the contents of the package. Your discretion is assured!

Within the USA, free shipping is provided by USPS Priority Mail, and delivery is typically 2-3 business days. Express shipping (usually next day) is handled by USPS Express at an extra fee.

Outside of the USA, free shipping on orders $50 to $125 by USPS First Class International. Delivery to most countries is within two weeks, but can take longer, and delivery tracking is not provided. For orders over $125, USPS Priority Mail International is used, and stated delivery time is 6-10 business days. Express Mail is offered at an additional charge. Despite the delivery times listed by USPS, delivery can be delayed by customs substantially (South America and African countries can take 4-8 weeks).

We can ship via UPS or Fedex, but will be quoted separately based on need dates. We are not liable for brokerage, customs, nor any other fees assessed my local non-US carriers. Please contact us at support@lockeduplove.com for further information.

Can you ship to APO addresses?

Yes, though there may be restrictions. We've not yet been unable to ship to any address, include APO/FPO.

What happens if you get an erection?

Technically, you can't get an erection, though your body may try to produce one. As it becomes harder, it will cause increasing pressure within the device, which will discourage the erection. When you are conscious, you will only be able to get aroused, but not fully hard. Night time erections are a little different, as you may get harder than you might while awake, and it could be painful until the erection subsides or until the device is removed.

The normal swelling that comes with arousal could put pressure on the device, and in some cases could cause the tube to crack. If that happens, CAREFULLY remove the device immediately and contact us for replacement. Then pat yourself on the back - not every man can exert such pressure!

Are the devices compatible with piercings?

The PA-5000 is designed specifically to accommodate the Prince Albert piercing. Birdlocked also has a PA model that we don't specifically list, but can order for you. Please contact us for a quote.

How should I cut it off in an emergency?

If you have the luxury of time and the proper tools, the best way to cut the device off is to cut the lock pin just above the hole where the lock is placed. Ideally you would hold the lock with pliers to keep the target area exposed, and then use a keyhole saw to cut through the lock pin to remove the lock. It is much more economical to replace the lock pin than the whole device.

Is it visible under clothing?

About being discovered: you will learn over time that you are far more conscious of the bulge that you can see than other people are. As long as your clothes are loose fitting, nobody will ever know. Swimming poses a different problem though, as wet trunks tend to cling to the lines of your body, therefore could be more noticeable. People that notice would likely dismiss it has having a large member. You could diminish that by wearing tight fitted underwear under your clothes to keep it closer to your body; spandex panties work well, if you're willing to wear them.
